| The first day of the semester had an interesting class. At least Zayne knew that he'd be getting a good bit of exercise to start every week thanks to Professor Bond. He'd probably need to wear different robes for that class, though. It was pretty clear that at some point, whatever he wore was going to get pretty messy and he didn't really want to have to wash his regular robes as often as he would need to for that. Zayne looked up suddenly from his clothes. "I don't know why, but I have a bad feeling about this," he said to himself. Maybe this wasn't the right time to worry about clothes. Or go outside. In fact, Zayne was going to make sure the door was closed, just in case. [OOC: Establishy. Idea totally stolen from weetuskenraider because, really, THE SCENE WAS LITERALLY ASKING FOR IT.] | |

| Zayne woke up this morning feeling well rested. There was an odd feeling that things were a little off. That it was a weekend of bad things. That while he didn't get into any more trouble yesterday, he did something really bad on Saturday.
Then he glanced over at Mat's empty bed. And then he remembered that there was the incident which eventually resulted in Zayne sneaking Mat into the graveyard.
"Sithspit!" Zayne yelled, leaping out of bed and grabbing his robe as he started a sprint towards the cemetery. He hoped that somehow Mat wasn't dead. If he somehow was alive, Zayne was going to be apologizing a lot.
[OOC: Establishy! Mat modded as being in the graveyard with permission.]

| Zayne awoke with a start. The vision... it had returned. Something under his bed... But what? And why? He needed to know. He needed to know NOW! Zayne rolled off his bed, dropping to the floor. Lifting his covers carefully so he could look at what lurked below, he stuck his head under the bed. As it turned out, it was just a package of Ho Hos. "I had a vision for that? Really?" Zayne asked himself. Normally a vision would be for something much more important than that. He started to get up, but his head hadn't cleared the bed yet, so he concussed himself violently against the bed frame. When he woke up a short time later, Zayne couldn't remember anything. But he did hunger... for crime. But not the really bad kinds of crime. The kinds of crime that would make him the hero somehow while still making him unbelievably wealthy. No, Zayne didn't remember anything, but he knew that he was a mob boss with a heart of gold. But first he had to break ties with who he was before... whoever that was. He'd need to figure that out so he could properly reject his past. [OOC: Open to the roomie or anyone who might want to meet Fandom's newest mob boss. Also, yes, this is a callback to Zayne's vision from the summer. I knew I'd use it eventually!] | |

| The fact that Zayne hadn't been back to Taris in a few months meant that the past four days ended up being an intense Jedi bootcamp involving training and missions. They had to break up some Black Vulkar operations (Zayne took the longest and had the most property damage), assist the TCA in a prisoner transfer (Zayne's perp nearly escaped), assist at a lower city food pantry (food poisoning), and run an obstacle course across the rooftops of the Upper City (Zayne never finished and had to pay for damage to a speeder that he landed on), among other missions.
Furthermore, his transport was late, so he didn't get in until just now, meaning that by the time Zayne walked into the room and flopped on his bed, his alarm clock started going off. "Time for class already?" Zayne asked himself.
He still had a few minutes before he had to dash off to class, though. A few minutes to try to meditate to get himself a little bit refreshed without going to sleep or anything. Unless, of course, he fell asleep while he was trying to meditate. It was a balancing act, you see.

| Considering it's Thanksgiving weekend this probably isn't atypical, but I will be out of town with questionable availability through Monday. This might be the silliest availability post ever, though, since I'll be by trickster_twin's and not at work, so in reality I'll probably be online more than usual. But still, I'm getting it on the record. | |

| Normally Zayne would be meditating. Tonight he was preparing reports. He was going back to Taris for the first time in a few months next weekend, and Master Lucien would expect detailed information on how he had spent that time. Lucien was going to be disappointed when he heard how much of that time was spent fighting with swords compared to how little he had improved with his saber work. But to be fair, Lucien was going to be disappointed with pretty much anything, so Zayne would find a way to live with it. For now, though, Zayne needed to focus on his report, ignoring all distractions ad just getting on with his work. Because that always went so well for him.... [OOC: So, sonofmogh suggested Joseph Gordon-Levitt as a PB a while ago. And then trickster_twin encouraged me recently. So what the hell, why not? Just pretend the hair color didn't change, he has a braid on his right side, and he's wearing robes and it works perfectly.
Door and post are both open.]

| Hey guys. I've been a little more out of it than usual lately, due to a winning combination of working a lot and doing crap on weekends. By the time I get home, my brain is frequently not working right for making fake people talk and do stuff. Considering that I'll be putting in overtime for quite a lot of this month, I'm not sure how much I'm going to be around at all, even if I am physically here and maybe even on AIM (just later than usual). I promise to at least sign into classes and stuff, though.
Apologies to anyone who is now sobbing uncontrollably at the thought of fewer Wheel of Moralities. Wheels of Morality? Whatever.

| Zayne always kind of disliked returning from a weekend on Taris on a Sunday night when he had class on a Monday. It meant that he was portal-lagged, exhausted from training, and just generally out of sync for a couple days. It also meant that his last day on Taris had been a little too compressed to make time for him to catch a portal back to Fandom.
He wasn't really thinking about that right now, though. When he walked into the room he noticed Mat was already asleep, so the only thing on Zayne's mind was getting some rest himself. He wasn't going to let the fact that he was still in his smelly robes and boots stop him from flopping into his bed, either. The bed probably did something to deserve that kind of treatment. And even if it didn't, sleep was clearly more important.

| Zayne's conversation with Dinah the other day worried him a little. He was only about a year away from the tests the Taris Masters would be conducting before giving their recommendations for Knighthood. That meant that he had a lot of ground to cover in a limited amount of time.
And so he was meditating, trying to focus himself in order to get rid of any anxiety about that. It was the necessary first step.
And then he remembered that this weekend was going to feature a trip to Taris. One of the last several trips he was going to have before graduation, after which he was going to have to go back to Taris for the Trials and...
Focusing wasn't really working, it seemed.

| Zayne was exhausted when he got back to his dorm room. The Masters hadn't called him and his fellow Padawans back to Taris last month, so they made up for that with an long weekend of training. It started with each student dueling their Master (and while Zayne had improved a bit, there was still a wiiiiiiiide gulf between him and Lucien) and ended with breaking up a war between the swoop gangs in the Undercity.
Long story short, Zayne was ready to sleep. But that would wait until later. First, he needed to meditate. He had been reminded this weekend that when you were really serious about reaching (or expanding, in Zayne's case) your potential, training never really stopped.
[OOC: Establishing where he's been and that he's back. But the door and post are both open. Zayne's meditation is completely interruptable.]
